School Pressure.Your child is more than their grades.

Grades, expectations, the constant comparison with others. Whether your child pushes through or gives up, the same pressure sits underneath.

What it is

School pressure is a constant body tension that builds when performance, expectations, and comparison become too much. It shows up in two directions, over-adapting or giving up, and both come from the same root. The pressure sits in the nervous system and can't be resolved through better organization alone.

Sound familiar?

Before every test, your child goes quiet, pale, or irritable.
A grade that's just okay feels to your child like a verdict on their whole self.
On Sunday evening, the whole coming week of school stress is already in the room.
Your child works and works and is still never satisfied with themselves.
Or they shut down, leave tasks undone, and seem switched off.

Why more of the same won't fix it.

You try to put things in perspective. Grades aren't everything, just do your best, you'll manage. And the pressure stays, because it doesn't come from a thought about grades. It comes from a tension your child is already carrying in their body. Good words barely reach that level.

A child under pressure can't just be talked into relaxing. Their nervous system is running on alert, whether they overexert or shut down. More explaining, more tutoring, more encouragement often just adds another trigger on top. What actually lowers the pressure is a way to release the tension where it sits, independent of the next test.

The way out: one session.

1

Find your desired feeling

With FUNKE, you as the parent go first. You feel for yourself what an inner calm could feel like, one that doesn't depend on the next grade, and place that desired feeling in your heart space. Then you guide your child through the same thing with Sévérine's video guidance, deliberately away from any performance situation.

2

Locate the block, don't explain it

In the exercise, your child notices where the pressure settles in their body. They don't have to talk about grades or explain anything. Sévérine guides in a way that lets your child just notice the place, with no evaluation and no goal. You're right there with them.

3

Release it and anchor it for 40 days

Over 40 days, the exercise becomes a shared ritual, short and free of any obligation. That gives the constant tension a regular chance to release, instead of recharging before every test. Over time, your child gets better at separating a task from their own worth.

Common questions.

Isn't some performance pressure just part of life?
A certain amount of tension is normal and even helps you focus. It becomes a burden when the pressure runs constantly and your child either overdrives or gives up. FUNKE doesn't take away your child's ambition. It takes away the overload underneath it, so performance stops hanging on their own worth.
Does my child have to talk about it?
No. Your child doesn't have to talk about grades or fears. With FUNKE, you as the parent go first, your child does the exercise with you, guided by Sévérine through the body. Nothing gets quizzed.
Is one Session enough?
FUNKE is a ritual over 40 days, not a single appointment. With ongoing pressure, it's exactly the short daily relief that's decisive, so the tension doesn't build back up.
Is this therapy?
No, FUNKE is a body-based exercise for home use, not therapy. If school pressure tips into exhaustion, ongoing anxiety, or despair, your child belongs in professional hands. In Switzerland, you can reach Pro Juventute at 147.
