FIVE MOVESvs. Breathwork
The breath opens. FIVE MOVES completes.
The Method
What is Breathwork?
Breathwork uses conscious breathing techniques – from holotropic breathing to box breathing – to access altered states of consciousness, release emotions, and activate the nervous system.
Breathwork can be powerfully opening. The challenge: without targeted follow-up, what opens can also close again. And: altered states aren't automatically transformative.
FIVE MOVES vs. Breathwork
| Criterion | Breathwork | FIVE MOVES |
|---|---|---|
| Main tool | Breathing rhythm / technique | Body signal + desire feeling |
| State | Often altered state | Fully conscious |
| Precision | Area / general | Exact body point |
| Integration | Varies widely | Identity shift built in |
| Risk | Hyperventilation / flooding | Controlled, consensual |
| Carry-over? | Dependent on practice | Permanent |
