FIVE MOVESvs. Hypnosis
Deep access without conscious participation.
The Method
What is Hypnosis?
Hypnosis is a method in which a therapist guides a person into a trance state to access the subconscious. Suggestions, imagery, and post-hypnotic anchors aim to create change.
The approach works top-down: the practitioner directs the process. The client surrenders control – which can be healing, but also creates dependency.
FIVE MOVES vs. Hypnosis
| Criterion | Hypnosis | FIVE MOVES |
|---|---|---|
| Who leads? | Therapist directs | Your body leads |
| Level of consciousness | Trance / reduced awareness | Fully conscious, fully present |
| Duration | Multiple sessions | One 90-minute session |
| Retraumatisation? | Possible (content-based) | Not with FIVE MOVES |
| Body involvement | Passive | Your body does the work |
| Carry-over? | Dependent on sessions | Identity shift – permanent |
When Hypnosis?
- Chronic habits (smoking, sleep)
- Performance optimisation
- Fear of loss of control not present
- Openness to trance states
When FIVE MOVES?
- Deep emotional blockages
- You want to stay in control
- One session, lasting change
- Body-based, not suggestion-based
Hypnosis gives instructions to the subconscious. FIVE MOVES lets your body dissolve what's stuck. No trance. No dependency. Just transformation.
