Stanford measured it in 2023: five minutes a day of long exhales lifts your mood.
But honestly: you already know how. Your body does it every time you sigh. Stanford tested a double inhale with a long sigh, not exactly our 4-8. The principle is the same: out takes longer than in. Your grandmother managed that without a study.

What is 4-8 breathing?
Count to four on the way in and to eight on the way out, with no holding. One breath takes 16 seconds. Six breaths take 96 seconds, and nobody next to you notices.
That was the plaster.
Breathing gets you through the moment. If something keeps coming back, clear it out with a Guide.
Already worked with a Guide? Then you know how it goes.
The other four.
If you get dizzy, stop and breathe normally. This does not replace treatment. Serious crises belong in other hands.
